Power Restored at the Coleman A. Young Municipal Center

Power has been restored to the Coleman A. Young Municipal Center. The Center will reopen Wednesday, January 7, 2009 at 7:30 a.m.
[Background: At approximately 4:45 p.m. Tuesday, January 6, 2009, there was a surge of electrical power that struck one of the ten transformers at the Coleman A. Young Municipal Center.
The transformer properly responded by grounding the power surge – causing a temporary power outage to a portion of the Center.
As a safety precaution, the building was evacuated.]
